Just a little bit about me. Native Carson City gal. Graduated From Carson High School - Class of 1983. Went away to college in Arizona then came back to Carson City in 1993. Got married and had 2 children, Athena & Alexandria. This compelled me to run for the school board in 1999 and I won. I served for 4 years.

In 2008, I married Dave McCulloch (Bob “Slick” McCulloch and Judy Fountain’s son. And also a 1983 graduate from CHS.) and gained a step-son, Colin. Then in 2009 there was a vacancy on the school board and I was appointed. After being elected 2 more times I’m still blessed to be serving today. While on the Board, I have served on the following:

Carson City School Board- Served twice as Clerk, Vice President and President. Awarded by NASB School Board of the Year; 2013 & 2019, NASB Individual School Board member of the year 2019. Chaired the Joint Meeting between the Board of Supervisors and School Board in 2014 & 2019.

  • Nevada Association of School Boards (NASB) - serving as Legislative Chair. Vice President, President and Immediate President twice.

  • Advisory Council on Family Engagement (Appointed by Governor Sandoval) 2015 to present

  • Nevada Interscholastic Athletic Association- Region 3 Voting member representing Carson City, Douglas County and Churchill County.

Various Board Committees: Parks and Recreation Commission, Wellness, Master Plan, Bond Oversight, Strategic Plan, etc.. Also various school representation throughout my 11 years.

So why now run for Supervisor? I feel of all the candidates I have most experience of serving on a public board. The aspects and pressures of a publicly elected board, are different than any other position, job, career one might have. With this pandemic, Carson City needs someone who can hit the ground running. That’s me.
